- Flexible Music performed my piece Sustenance Variations recently in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Syracuse. Lesley Valdes of the Philadelphia Inquirer had this to say about the piece: "Also to hear again: Orianna Webb, whose Sustenance Variations closed. The work banishes transitions so its shifts are extreme: fine alterations of mood, timbre and personality to this piece, whose colorations and phrases mesh - and delight."
- The Young Composer's Program, of which I am director, takes place at the Cleveland Institute of Music June 14-20. This intensive summer program for composers ages 14-19 features the rehearsal, public performance, and recording of student works as well as classes and seminars on many issues of importance to composers, listening sessions for repertoire of the past 40 years, and lessons and masterclasses with the faculty. More information on this exciting opportunity are available here.
